Muscat: The Democratic Republic of the Congo has reported 1,873 confirmed cases of Ebola virus disease, including 672 deaths, according to health authorities.
According to Oman News Agency, in an official statement, the authorities identified that 763 patients are currently in isolation or receiving hospital treatment, with bed occupancy rates at treatment centres reaching 95.1 percent.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo declared its seventeenth outbreak of the Ebola virus on 15 May of this year, prompting the World Health Organization to issue a global health alert regarding the situation.
