2nd Annual Conference of Business & Management Development Kicks Off in Muscat

Muscat: Activities of the 2nd Annual Conference of Business and Management Development began in Muscat today. The two-day event, themed ‘Re-engineering Administrative Operations: Achieving Efficiency Through Redesigning Operations’, is organized by the Ministry of Labour in cooperation with Al-Assayel for Development.

According to Oman News Agency, the opening ceremony was held under the patronage of HH Sayyid Mohammed bin Thuwaini Al Said, with numerous officials from government and private agencies in attendance. The conference also features participation from the American influencer, speaker, and author Prof. Dave Ulrich.

The conference targets a diverse group of participants, including officials from the government and private sectors, analysts, consultants, and project managers from ministries and establishments. Employees from human resources, finance, customer services, and information technology departments, as well as entrepreneurs, owners of small and medium enterprises, academic researchers, and practitioners in public administration, are also part of the audience.

The primary aim of the conference is to enhance the efficiency of administrative processes and procedures. This will be achieved by reviewing effective strategies and modern technologies that improve operational efficiency. Additionally, the conference seeks to introduce participants to flexible and agile management concepts and their importance in institutional applications. It will also highlight prominent tools, technologies, and best practices for improving procedures and raising performance efficiency.

The second edition of the conference emphasizes the concept of re-engineering administrative operations as a means to achieve institutional efficiency and effectiveness. This approach aligns with the objectives set out in Oman Vision 2040.
